Plaid Backgrounds Tutorial

» Download Simply Filters - Diamond from Simple Filters and put it in your PlugIns folder under Paint Shop Pro.
» Open up a new image sized 100 x 100. Make sure you have the transparent box ticked.
» Select the Flood Fill tool () and fill in your blank canvas with a light colour. I have used blue (#D5F0FF).
» Go to Effects >> Texture Effects >> Blinds. Put in the same settings as below but with a darker shade of the colour you used in the previous step. I have used #7DD0FF.

» Go to Effects >> Texture Effects >> Blinds again. Put in the same settings as below but with the same colour you used in the previous step.

» Go to Effects >> Distortion Effects >> Pixelate and put in the same settings as below.

Click on the thumbnail to see it

» Your image should look like something below. You can use it as a checkered background if you want to.

» Go to Effects >> Plugins >> Simple >> Diamonds.
