Twirl Textures Tutorial

Click on the thumbnail to see it

» Open up a new image sized the size you want your twirl texture to be.
» Select the Paint Bucket tool () and fill in your canvas with black (#000000).
» Go to Layer >> New >> Layer and fill in the new layer with black (#000000).
» Go to Filter >> Render >> Lens Flare and put in the same settings as below.

» Go to Filter >> Distort >> Twirl and put in the same settings as below.

Click on the thumbnail to see it

» Go to Layer >> Duplicate Layer and set that layer to Screen.
» Go to Layer >> Duplicate Layer again and set that layer to Soft Light 40% opacity.
» Go to Layer >> Merge Visible.
» You can alter the Lens Flare and Twirl settings to get different effects.
