Shattered Icon Textures Tutorial

» Open up a new image sized 100 x 100.
» Select the Paint Bucket tool () and fill in your canvas with black (#000000).
» Select the Brush tool () and in any two colours (I have used #A45BFF and #FCFFA7) randomly place four dots on your background. You can do the dots in different sizes but make sure they are done with a soft brush.

» Go to Filter >> Render >> Lens Flare and put a 50-300mm Zoom on each dot (making sure it isn't bigger than the dot by changing the Brightness).

» Go to Filter >> Distort >> Ocean Ripple and experiment with the settings. Some different effects you can get are below (also the one at the start).

» You can also create larger textures using this effect.
